The wonderful thing about putting your writing out there is that people you know, don't know, or used to know start coming into your life. Some of you reach out and say "hello," and some of you don't. It's okay either way. But it's nice when I know you're out there engaging in my life. I'm so grateful you're here in whatever capacity you are. 

Over the past couple of months of being on the mend, I've spent a lot of time doing nothing except connecting with the here and now. I don't like to stay idle, but I've, for the most part, had to. It's been so good for me to stay in the present and do nothing except visit with friends once or twice a week. Before that, I would sometimes have two social engagements in a day. I don't need to do that anymore. I've realized I don't need to do a lot of things I was doing anymore.
